55-Year-Old Patient underwent robot-assisted patellofemoral (kneecap joint) and unicompartmental (partial knee replacement) surgery.
A 55-year-old patient came to Vatan Healthcare with ongoing pain in the right knee that was affecting daily movement and comfort.
Following a detailed consultation and diagnostic assessment, arthritis and joint damage were identified in the patellofemoral joint and part of the knee joint. Based on these findings, Orthopaedics and Traumatology Specialist Dr Levent Tan created a personalised surgical plan.
On 20 July 2026, the patient underwent robot-assisted patellofemoral and unicompartmental knee replacement surgery. The procedure was planned to treat the damaged areas of the knee while preserving the healthy joint structures as much as possible.
The surgery was completed successfully, and the patient was closely monitored during the recovery period.
At the follow-up appointment 10 days after surgery, the patient was observed to be walking comfortably and showing encouraging progress in the early stages of recovery.

Bulgarian Patient Chooses Çorlu Vatan Hospital for Breast Implant Replacement Surgery
A patient from Bulgaria travelled to Vatan Hospital for breast implant replacement surgery after deciding to replace her existing implants with larger ones.
Following a detailed consultation and medical assessment, a personalised surgical plan was created based on the patient’s expectations, existing implants and overall breast anatomy.
During the procedure, the patient’s previous 325 cc implants were removed and the surrounding implant capsules were treated as required. After assessing the most suitable size and shape during surgery, 550 cc breast implants were placed on both sides.

A patient from Bulgaria presented with complaints of nasal deformity and difficulty breathing. During the preoperative examinations, a rightward deviation of the nasal septum and a hump on the nasal bridge were identified.
On 22 July 2026, our ENT Specialist, Op. Dr İbrahim GÜL performed a Septorhinoplasty (Nasal Deviation Surgery) on our 18-year-old patient, who had travelled from Bulgaria.
The procedure addressed both the patient’s breathing and aesthetic concerns. The deviated septum affecting nasal breathing was corrected, while rhinoplasty was also performed to improve the external appearance of the nose.

On 1 July 2026, our General Surgery Specialist, Op. Dr Ferudun BIKMAZ, performed a Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve) procedure on our 55-year-old patient who travelled to our hospital from Bulgaria.
The patient presented to our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain, indigestion, and excess weight. Preoperative examinations revealed severe obesity, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 52.8.
To support the patient’s weight loss, Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve) surgery was recommended.
The procedure was performed laparoscopically through small incisions in the abdominal area, with approximately 80% of the stomach removed.

On 23 June 2026, our Orthopaedics and Traumatology Specialist, Op. Dr Aydın GÜRBÜZ, performed robot-assisted hip replacement surgery on our 54-year-old patient who travelled to our hospital from abroad.
The patient presented with complaints of pain in the left hip, limping while walking and leg shortening. Preoperative examinations revealed limited hip movement, pain in the left hip, an altered gait due to limping and a difference in leg length.
After evaluating the preoperative radiological images, robot-assisted hip replacement surgery was recommended.
On 23 June 2026, the patient underwent robot-assisted hip replacement using a special technique designed to preserve the muscles and soft tissues. The patient was mobilised during the early postoperative period and walked without complications.

On 1 June 2026, our General Surgery Specialist, Op. Dr Mustafa Önder DOLAP, performed a Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve) procedure on our 50-year-old patient who travelled to our hospital from Bulgaria.
The patient presented to our hospital due to obesity. Following the necessary examinations, the patient was diagnosed with severe obesity, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 44.6. As part of the treatment plan, Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (Gastric Sleeve) surgery was recommended.
Our patient was discharged on 5 June 2026. At the one-month follow-up examination, it was determined that the patient had lost 10 kilograms.
